I agree with the other guys. You got a perfectly acceptable beard now, but it will look even better longer, especially now with your shaved head. So just keep
that beard comming.

Well I guess it's time for the 2 month update:
Before everyone goes off on my neckline, just know that I intend to grow it out along with the rest of the beard. I will keep the bottom part of it clean though as to remove any stray hairs. But I intend to let my beard grow anywhere from 3 - 5 inches if it will. If not, I guess I'll settle with however long I can get it. Starting to look pretty cool though :P My right side looks slightly better and more full than my left. But I don't think it's too big of a difference. I just notice it. :P

I'm considering shaping up my beard a great deal. I redefined a neckline a little lower than last time as to try and keep the fullness of the bottom.
I think I'm going to trim the side burns up. Because with my shaved head it looks a little weird. The beard is like a 1/2 - 1 inch of beard by my ears were I defined the beard line on the top when I shaved my head. It looks pretty weird now. So I was considering blending it in more with my little head hair. I was also going to make the beard not tail back behind the ears on the jaw line. I was going to make this straight. But yeah my beard hair is getting long now and crazy. Still plan on keeping it and growing it a great deal. Although I may keep it at about 2 inches instead of the 3 - 5 I was shooting for. I guess basically I want now a well groomed full beard look. :P Let me know if anyone has any suggestions. Also how exactly would I blend the top of my beard hair beside my ears with my little head hair that I have? I know I could go to a barber and get it done. But I really wanted to do it by myself? Any tips? I was going to use a straight comb and possibly an electronic razor being extremely careful not to take off too much. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

i think scissors would be good for a precision job like this. or a beard trimmer with multiple lenghts. the combs only good for one length. for the tailback
effect i'd recomend holding the comb or a pencil vertically where you want the beard to end and cutting the part left with the trimmer. for the beard-fade
just take the scissors and cut a litle more hair each time as you work your way up. thats what i do when i buzz my hair.
or you could forget all this and have a barber do it in like 2 minutes. either way good luck

I think that you should not cut anything at all, let alone pay money for someone to do that for you...
IMO a bearded man should know how to treat his beard right on his own. anyway, your beard is filling up nicely, and there is no reason for you to cut it... |
